In a survey conducted in Mexico about public opinion on the national strike organized by women's rights activists #UnDíaSinNosotras ("One day without us") on March 9, 2020, most respondents said they believed that women partaking in the strike should be paid for that day's salary. On the other hand, more men than women said that one day's salary should be subtracted from women's paychecks should they participated in the strike (38 percent of men vs. 34.2 percent of women).
