According to a survey conducted in Indonesia in 2019, 48 percent of the respondents who made purchases online on the National Online Shopping Day (Hari belanja onlines nasional/Harbolnas) were employees. December 12th is known as Harbolnas and is considered to be the largest e-commerce shopping event in Indonesia. This event has been taking place since 2012 and is expected to have an impact on the Indonesian e-commerce penetration in the near future.
