According to exit polls for the 2020 South Carolina Democratic primary, former Vice President Joe Biden led the vote among all ideologies, receiving 42 percent of the vote from those describing themselves as very liberal, and 54 percent of those describing themselves as moderate or conservative. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders came in second place among all ideologies.
