In 2020, the number of Taiwanese passengers taking a cruise vacation up to three days decreased by 76 percent compared to the previous year. The volume of Taiwanese travelers taking short cruisese decreased further in 2021.

According to the source, the passenger statistics are provided by CLIA's ocean cruise line members, which covered over 95 per cent of the global cruise industry capacity. Additional data was also collected from non-CLIA cruise lines by CHART Management Consultants.
