The majority of young Russians aged between 18 and 24 years were of the opinion that Western sanctions had a rather negative impact on the economy of their country. Respondents from 45 to 60 years old were more divided on that matter, as approximately 30 percent of them supported each of the views.

The original question was worded by the source as follows: "Some think that the sanctions by other countries have a rather positive impact on the economy of our country. Others think that the sanctions have a rather negative impact on the Russian economy. Which point of view is closer to yours?"

The survey was conducted in 104 municipalities in 53 federal subjects of Russia.
