In 2020, the spending from Chinese visitors in the United States was projected to reach 19.7 billion U.S. dollars, up from 17.4 billion U.S. dollars in 2018. Due to the impact of trade war between the United States and China, it was estimated that the inbound tourism revenue in the United States from China would see a loss of eleven billion U.S. dollars between 2018 and 2020.
