The Polish government has been working on an amendment to the act on subscription fees, providing compensation to public media for lost subscription revenue. In February 2020, nearly half of respondents in Poland stated that President Andrzej Duda should veto this amendment. Support for the bill was lowest among viewers of the news channel TVN24 - 68 percent of respondents who used this channel as their primary news source wanted a veto. In contrast, only 23 percent of TVP Info viewers were of this opinion.
