Latin America: preferred food label ingredients 2019
As of August 2019, 24 percent of respondents in a survey carried out in Latin America declared having a preference towards natural ingredients when looking at food labels. Within the same survey, 13 percent of respondents stated favoring products that include fruits and vegetables, while four percent declared opting for foods with organic ingredients. By 2021, the organic fruits and vegetables market in Latin America is estimated to reach a value of nearly 69 billion U.S. dollars.
