Share of households in which medicines and supplements were purchased in Poland 2020
In January 2020, 94.6 percent of Polish households bought over-the-counter drugs for themselves or their relatives. Expenditure on dietary supplements and vitamins was declared by 82.5 percent of households. In turn, 82.1 percent of respondents bought prescription drugs for themselves or their household members, with no distinction being made whether they were fully or partially reimbursed. Other medical products and devices (e.g., dressings, medical instruments) were bought by 60.5 percent of Poles.
