During a late 2019 analysis of 50 content-focused Alexa sites using display advertising it was found that 86 percent of sites in the sample were not yet using an ad block recovery technology. Such technology allows certain acceptable ads (those meeting criteria set forth by ad block users) to be served despite an ad block being in place.
