Parent company to brands like Zara, Pull & Bear, Bershka, and Stradivarius among others, Inditex Group is one of Europe's leading clothing retailers. Like many other clothing retailers, Inditex outsources a large quantity of its production to suppliers in countries like China, Turkey, and Bangladesh. As of 2023, China had the highest number of suppliers that manufactured clothing and garments for Inditex. The group also had suppliers and factories in Spain and other locations in Europe such as Portugal and Turkey.

Spanish clothing company Inditex Group generated around 36 billion euros in sales in 2023. The fashion retailer group has been riding on a trend of rising sales and saw its revenue in 2022 surpassing that of 2019, after seeing a sales slump due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. As of 2023, the company operated a total of 5,692 stores worldwide. In 2021, Inditex Group ranked second in the leading European apparel and accessories retailers in terms of global sales, behind only French luxury goods company LVMH, which owns around 75 brands worldwide including fashion house Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Sephora.
Zara
Zara is the most well-known and profitable brand within the Inditex Group. In 2023, Zara accounted for three-quarters of the retail group’s total sales worldwide. The fast-fashion store, which was opened in Spain in 1975, operated a total of 2,312 retail locations worldwide as of 2023.
