Startup characteristics

In Poland, almost half of founded startups were formed by people between the ages of 30 and 40 and usually had two founders. Startups are generally small companies that do not have a large number of employees. Hence 60 percent of them had up to 19 employees in their company in 2020.

Most companies have benefited from a loan to finance ongoing operations and exemption from social security contributions. Many startups are optimistic about the future, assuming that in 2021, the pandemic will not affect companies' operations or even have a positive impact on the business.
