According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in December 2019, approximately 70 percent of respondents in Japan, who did not own any smart speakers, stated that they have no intentions of buying them in the next six months. In the same survey, more than half of these respondents stated that they had not purchased smart speakers because they do not need the technology.
