According to a survey conducted in February 2020, most Italian adults holding a car insurance policy said that they chose a bonus-malus system to insure their car, in particular individuals aged 35 years and older. Black box insurance appeared to be the second-most common car insurance type in Italy, very popular among people between 18 and 34 years of age. All-risks insurance coverage was chosen by roughly one in ten Italians.
