In 2018, China imported around 1.6 billion Canadian dollars worth of shellfish products, registering a compound annual growth rate of 16.2 percent between 2014 and 2018. China's shellfish imports from Australia reached approximately 84 million Canadian dollars that year, slightly less than imports from New Zealand.
