Chikungunya cases in Latin America 2015-2023

As of 2023, the number of chikungunya cases reported in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to more than 402,000, up from approximately 252,000 infections registered a year earlier. The highest number during the period analyzed was reported in 2015, with 689,000 cases, During the last year depicted, Brazil was the country with the highest number of chikungunya cases in Latin America.
