At the end of 2017, the Co-operative bank had a total of approximately 1.4 million customers. Although the Co-operative bank's total number of customers ranges over one million, it is important that as a bank the ratio of customers joining is higher than those being lost to competitors. Between the second quarter of 2018 and the first quarter of 2020, The Co-operative bank has consistently had more customers switching away from their services than switching to. That being said, the Co-op bank has managed in the past four quarters to improve on the ratio of those switching away.
