According to the survey from March 2019, over one half of the Russian population stated that they were ready to sacrifice their life for their country. The share of respondents holding this opinion was 14 percent higher among men. In February 2020, 65 percent of Russians believed that a person refusing to serve in the army could not be considered a patriot.
