As per recent data, virtual reality (VR) was often used for product design and prototyping as of the third quarter of 2019, with 96.3 percent of XR professionals surveyed worldwide identifying this area of the business as where they used XR. Comparatively, 46.3 percent of respondents highlighted this area of the business as where augmented reality or mixed reality (AR/MR) technology was being used.
