The number of solid waste landfills operated by Waste Management, Inc. stood at 258 in the 2023 financial year. Approximately 122 million tons of waste were managed across these sites. Waste Management completed the 4.6 billion U.S. dollar acquisition of Advanced Disposal in October 2020, acquiring additional landfills, transfer stations, and collection routes in the process.
