According to a 2023 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, about 18 percent of Malaysian respondents aged between 35 to 44 years who did not own a smart speaker stated that they intended to purchase a smart speaker while 41 percent of respondents aged 55 years and older did not know if they will buy one. In the same survey, about 63 percent of total respondents stated that they did not own a smart speaker.
