As per recent data, 44 percent of consumers surveyed globally who were under the age of 40 admitted to having used augmented reality (AR) technology to assist them whilst shopping in the past 12 months, with 21 percent of Generation Z and 23 percent of Millennials trying this technology. Despite not yet using AR to assist them whilst shopping, 47 percent of both generations stated that they would like to if given the opportunity.
