According to a 2023 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, about 54 percent of Malaysian respondents aged between 16 to 24 years stated that they bought a smart speaker as they wanted a device to control their smart appliances remotely. In the same survey, about 29 percent of respondents stated that they owned a smart speaker.
