According to a 2023 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, about 30 percent of respondents aged 55 years and older owned a Google Home or Nest smart speaker. In the same survey, the majority of respondents who owned a smart speaker indicated that they wanted a device to control their smart appliances remotely.
