According to a 2023 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, approximately 29 percent of Malaysian respondents stated that they owned a smart speaker while 63 percent did not. In the same survey, the majority of respondents who owned a smart speaker indicated that they wanted a device to control their smart appliances remotely.
