Adults diagnosed with asthma in England 2018, by gender and age
In 2018, 21 percent of women and 20 percent of men aged between 25 and 34 years in England had been diagnosed with asthma, the highest prevalence for both genders across the age groups. Asthma is a disease of the lungs which usually starts in childhood, and although there is no cure for the disease most people can live active lives with treatment controlling their symptoms.
