Credit cards and debit cards per capita in Lithuania 2000-2023
The number of credit cards per capita in Lithuania decreased from over 0.2 in 2010 to approximately 0.17 at the end of 2023. On the other hand, debit cards were more popular in the country, as the number per capita of these cards was higher than 13 per person in 2023. The numbers provided are estimates, based on the figures central banks have to supply. Owning a payment card does not immediately indicate it gets used often, as there are large differences within Europe when it comes to the use of certain payment methods.
