Based on the results of a survey, 83 percent of Indian respondents were in favor of ramping up the production and export of face masks, drugs, facial tissues and other useful products to help address the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, 13 percent of the respondents were in favor of maintaining production of these products but withholding the country from exporting them, focusing on domestic demand. As of February 2020, India had three confirmed cases of people infected with COVID-19.
