Plastic domestic waste daily discharge South Korea 2008-2021, by disposal type
In 2021, around 12,800 tons of domestic synthetic resin waste was generated daily in South Korea, of which just over 7,000 tons were recycled. That year, the recycling rate of domestic synthetic resin waste stood at around 57 percent, lower than in the previous year.
