According to a 2023 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, approximately 31 percent of Indonesian respondents stated that they owned a smart speaker while 58 percent did not. In the same survey, the majority of respondents owning a smart speaker indicated that they wanted a device to control their smart appliances remotely.

Original question: Do you own a smart speaker (e.g. Amazon Echo, Google Home, Xiaodu..)?
The survey was conducted among 6,268 female and 4,832 male respondents in Indonesia. Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.
