Oil palm hectarage of IOI Group 2023 by age group
About 40 percent of the oil palm plantations owned by the IOI Corporation Berhad in 2023 were at their prime age. Oil palms reach maturity at around three years after planting, and reach their peak production age between the seventh and 18th years after planting.
IOI's biggest income generates from the palm oil plantations and the Malaysian company is one of the world's largest palm oil companies. Beside owning refineries in the US and the Netherlands, IOI also owns palm oil plantations in Indonesia with Bumitama Gunajaya Agro as its associate company.
