Online banking frauds reported in India 2022, by state

In 2022, the state of Telangana in India had the highest number of fraud offences related to online banking compared to the rest of the country, with over three thousand cases registered with the authorities. The country recorded over six thousand cases of internet banking frauds that year. This category of crime came under the purview of Sections 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
