As of the third quarter of 2021, Cogna Educação in Brazil had approximately 54,070 distance learning postgraduate students. That is an increase of nearly 33 percent in comparison to the amount of distance learning postgraduates in the same period in the previous year. Further, the on-site post graduates registered in that quarter did not even reach a 1,000, a decrease of 85 percent in comparison to the previous year. Likewise, in that year, the number of distance undergraduates was higher than the number of on-site undergraduates. Cogna was formerly known as Kroton. Nowadays, Kroton and Platos are two of the many education operations controlled by the holding.
