According to the analysis conducted by EqualOcean, Alibaba cloud accounted for around 43 percent of the IaaS market in China in 2018. However, e-commerce was the main source of revenue for Alibaba, whereas cloud computing contributed less than seven percent of the revenue in the fiscal year 2019.
