In 2023, the sales value of tequila in Mexico reached 70.86 billion Mexican pesos. This represents an increase of 4.6 percent compared to the previous year.

Tequila is a distilled beverage made from the agave plant, and is one of the most traditional alcoholic beverages in Mexico. It includes the varieties añejo, blanco, joven, and reposado.
