According to a 2023 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, about 36 percent of Vietnamese respondents aged between 45 and 54 years revealed that they intended to purchase a smart speaker in the next six months. Meanwhile, around 47 percent of respondents aged between 16 and 24 years did not plan to buy one. In the same survey, about 41 percent of respondents in Vietnam stated that they did not own a smart speaker.

The survey was conducted among:
581 respondents aged 16 to 24 years,
362 respondents aged 25 to 34 years,
280 respondents aged 35 to 44 years,
108 respondents aged 45 to 54 years and
72 respondents aged 55 years and older.
