Share of people using transportation sharing services in Japan 2019, by type
Even though the majority of Japanese people were aware of transportation sharing services, around 68 percent reported to have never used such services before, as revealed by a survey conducted in June 2019 in Japan. Business-to-consumer (BtoC) car sharing was the most common sharing economy service among respondents in Japan, who claimed to have used transportation related shared services in the past.
