Brazil: enrollments in distance learning courses by type 2009-2018
In 2018, there were approximately 9.37 million enrollments in distance learning courses in Brazil. Out of those, around 2.36 million were involved in an accredited course. In comparison, the overall number of enrollments in distance education courses in 2009 amounted to roughly 530 thousand. Recently, it was found that 52 percent of internet users in Brazil who have taken an online course had chosen a free course.
