This statistic presents the share of adults that are regularly involved in sport in the Republic of Ireland in 2019, categorised into two age groups, 55 and over, and under 35. These two age categories were chosent to exhibit the age gradient that exists within sports participation in the Republic of Ireland, with only 29 percent of respondents over the age of 55 indicating regular participation in sport, compared to 63 percent of those under the age of 35.
