In 2019, it was found that 35 percent of work time in the health and social services industry could be augmented through the use of extended reality (XR) technology. In comparison, just 16 percent of work time in the business services industry could be augmented, falling below the 21 percent average taken from across all of the industries studied. Workers across all industries could improve their productivity through the use of XR, with the opportunities most likely to be felt in the healthcare and social services, manufacturing and construction industries.
