In 2021, hotels in the Sydney local government area turned a net profit of 131.07 million Australian dollars in gaming machine revenue in the six months between January 1 and June 30. This profit was raised across 163 premises and a total of 3,112 electronic gaming machines in the area.
EGM revenue by local government area is separated into two categories based on the type of premises hosting the EGM, which can be either a 'club' or a 'hotel'. In 2021, the Fairfield local government topped the list of club revenue from electronic gaming machines.
