In a survey conducted from 2018 to 2019 in the Asia Pacific region, regarding whether or not higher education plays an important role in shaping digital transformation, 54 percent of respondents strongly agreed that higher education does in fact play an important role in shaping digital transformation. Contrastingly, for the same survey, seven percent of respondents somewhat disagreed with the statement, thus did not believe that higher education played an important role in shaping digital transformation.

Respondents were split into two categories: one which targeted the leadership of higher education institutions and a second which was targeted at representatives in higher education institutions. This survey question was asked to the second category.
There was a 'strongly disagree' option, however no respondents chose this option.
