In a survey conducted from 2018 to 2019 in the Asia Pacific region, regarding whether or not certain universities were equipped for the future in regards to emerging technologies and opportunities, 40 percent of the respondents stated their university was ready and the developments were exciting for the future of higher education. Comparatively, 20 percent of the respondents in the Asia Pacific region stated their university was not ready, but they would try their best to adapt to the emerging technologies and opportunities.

Original source question: "Emerging technologies and opportunities. Is your university equipped for the future?"
Respondents were split into two categories: one which targeted the leadership of higher education institutions and a second which was targeted at representatives in higher education institutions. This survey question was asked to the first category.
There was an option to choose "No, and I am concerned whether these developments are good for higher education and society", however none of the respondents chose this answer.
