According to recent survey data, 41 percent of adults in the United States said that sharing fitness tracker users’ data with medical researchers seeking to better understand the link between exercise and heart disease was acceptable. However, 35 percent of adults in the United States believed that this was unacceptable.
Interestingly, fitness trackers users were far more supportive of sharing data from their devices than those who didn't use them, with 53 percent saying that this was acceptable.
