Among the respondents of a 2019 survey, Chileans were the people with the highest expenditure on Valentine's Day in Latin America. That year, they spent an average of 65 U.S. dollars for the celebration. Surveyed Mexicans spent three dollars less, with an average of 62 U.S. dollars spent per person. In recent years, Valentine's Day has become more popular in several Latin American countries.
