The new coronavirus (2019-nCoV or COVID-19) outbreak would probably change the hygienic habits among the citizens in China. According to a survey on the virus impact on the Chinese society released in early February 2020, many respondents said they would keep good hygiene practices after the epidemic. Females were more likely to maintain good hygiene practices. About 97.6 percent of the female respondents intended to wash hands regularly, compared to 94.5 percent of males confirming this statement.
