According to the fifth version of the Olympic and Paralympic Games budget announced in December 2020 by the Tokyo Organizing Committee (TOCOG), 346 billion Japanese yen were planned to be utilized for permanent facilities, which could be used after the 2020 Summer Olympics finish. In December 2020, TOCOG stated that in total 928 billion Japanese yen would be used for the venue-related expenditure, which was an increase of nearly 100 billion Japanese yen compared to the previous version's estimate.
