According to a 2019 survey from IPSOS, 35 percent of respondents worldwide said that women being represented in government and politics is one of the areas with the most progress towards achieving gender equality over the past 25 years. In comparison, four percent of respondents said that no progress has been made.

Respondents were asked to rank the top two or three areas with the most improvement in their country over the past 25 years. More than one response was possible.
