This statistic presents the perspective of British adults on attributing of the success of ParalympicGB athletes to to their attitude and mindset. Responses have subsequently been categorized by the NRS social grade of the respondent.
The NRS social grades are a system of demographic classification used in the United Kingdom. The grades are grouped here into AB, C1, C2, and DE; these are taken to equate to upper middle class, lower middle class, skilled working class, working (and non-working) class, respectively.
When presented with two opposing statements, the largest share of respondents within each social grade indicated that their opinion more closely aligned with the statement that the success of ParalympicsGB athletes is mainly down to their attitude and mindset. All social groups had a similar distribution of responses. Within the AB and C2 social grade groups the share of respondents that indicated as such was 72 percent, and within the C1 and DE social grade groups the share of respondents that indicated as such was 73 percent.
