Utilization of hospital beds in designated hospitals in Wuhan, China 2020
In February 2020, there were 28 hospitals in Wuhan in China designated to treat coronavirus patients. As the number of confirmed cases continued to rise, many hospitals were short of beds and had to add temporary beds. As of February 7, 2020, there were 9,198 beds occupied and 123 spare beds. Huoshenshan Hospital, the new temporary hospital built in just ten days, had been fully occupied.
